The Portadown Music Festival Association has been a cherished institution for the past century. What began in 1922 as a festival of just 41 music classes, founded by Dr. Winifred E Hadden, has now expanded to an impressive 510 classes across five different sections: Music, Speech, Drama, Irish Folk Dancing, and Dance. The festival lasts for 42 days, from February to May each year, and boasts a participation of over 9,265 competitors.
